Details

Hanzo is able to climb wall by holding the jump button. He can only climb vertically for maximum 6-7 meters, and then he will drop down. If Hanzo meet the ledge before the maximum height, at that point he will climb up. Hanzo cannot use his weapons during his climb.

In the Game Options, Hanzo has an option that affects his Wall Climb:

• Automatically Climb Walls: When enabled, Hanzo will automatically scale up to any wall after pressing the appropriate button once. Otherwise, the button must be held.

Patch changes

May 23, 2017 Patch: Removed the attack cooldown from Hanzo’s wall climbing ability, allowing him to engage with enemies immediately after he finishes climbing  September 1, 2016 Patch: Fixed an issue preventing Hanzo from reliably climbing a specific crate on Watchpoint: Gibraltar.  April 5, 2016 (beta) Patch: Added hero-specific option "Automatically climb walls".
