A distinctly Russian skyline towers over a winter wonderland. This is a proud land that holds fast against a new omnic threat.[1]

Volskaya Industries is an Assault map location in Overwatch.

"Russia was one of the countries hit hardest by the Omnic Crisis, but during the rebuilding progress, it rode the wave of the mechanized labor industry's revitalization and entered a period of rapid growth. However, after recent attacks from the long-dormant Siberian Omnium, Russia has returned to war footing, guarding its sparkling cities with the massive human-piloted Svyatogor mechs developed and produced by Volskaya Industries."

Background[]

Russia was one of the first countries to be affected by the Omnic Crisis. Having no help from Overwatch, Russia was forced to combat the omnic forces alone. Use of the Svyatogor mechs allowed them to succeed, and to this day they are still proud of their independent efforts. With the mechanized labor industry returning to prominence, Russia entered a period of economic growth.

Following the Crisis, Volskaya Industries transitioned into the development of cars.

With the beginning of the Second Omnic Crisis, Svyatogor factories across Russia have increased production. Among them, Volskaya Industries is one of the heads of the industry.

In Infiltration, Reaper, Widowmaker, and Sombra break into Volskaya Industries to assassinate its CEO, Katya Volskaya. Sombra managed to confront her, but chose to blackmail her instead.
