Soldier: 76’s pinpoint targeting visor “locks” his aim on the threat closest to his crosshairs. If an enemy leaves his line of sight, Soldier: 76 can quickly switch to another target.

Details

After activating his ultimate ability, any shot from his Heavy Pulse Rifle will automatically aim to the nearest target of his crosshair. The target has to be visible and within the circle in the heads-up display to be locked on to. The player must still fire manually. In addition, this ability also halves the time required to reload the rifle and instantly reloads it upon activation.

Soldier: 76 will only lock on to a target if their center of mass is visible and not behind an enemy barrier. Soldier can also aim for enemy object like RIP-Tire and Immortality Field. The aim lock does not apply to Helix Rockets.

An enemy Soldier: 76 will say "I've got you in my sights" while an allied Soldier: 76 will say "Tactical Visor activated". The player will hear the former.

Trivia

• The Tactical Visor features a heads-up display that allows for precise aiming.
• When equipped with Grillmaster: 76, a friendly will hear "Tactical sunglasses activated." When equipped with Alpine: 76, a friendly will hear "Tactical goggles activated."
