Symmetra creates a shield generator that provides her and all teammates within range a 75 health shield. After 3 seconds of not taking damage, shields will regenerate at a rate of 20 shields per second.
The range of the generator is 50 meters in all directions. Should Symmetra or an ally move out of this range, they will lose the shield after 5 seconds. Moving back within range of the generator will instantly apply the shield again.
The shield generator can be destroyed by enemies; it has 50 regular health, and 350 shield health, for a collective 400 health. After 3 seconds of not taking damage, the shield health will regenerate at rate of 20 shield points per second.
The shield generator takes two seconds to create. As long as the shield generator is active, Symmetra cannot gain ultimate charge.
If playing in a game where hero stacking is allowed, the shields granted by the generator will stack with shields from other generators, meaning that if a full team of Symmetras places down their generators, each member will have 650 total health.
This ability was replaced by Photon Barrier as Symmetra's ultimate
