Heroes are playable characters in Overwatch. There are currently 31 playable heroes in the game, categorized into 3 roles: Tank, Damage, and Support.

The heroes of Overwatch each bring their own unique powers and game-changing ultimate abilities into battle. Along with their own roles on the battlefield, their potential is amplified when they assemble into a formidable team. Player's options for achieving victory are endless when a team of heroes can defy gravity, transform into rapid-firing turrets, or conjure billboard-sized energy shields.
