Tracer zips horizontally through space in the direction she’s moving, and reappears several yards away. She stores up to three charges of the blink ability and generates more every few seconds.

Details

Tracer blinks in the direction she is moving, regardless of which way she is facing. This ability has three charges, each of which is displayed below the crosshair. Each charge takes three seconds to recharge, but they do not recharge simultaneously.

Blink has the same physics as walking - Tracer can blink up or down stairs and even past obstacles that she can otherwise jump over. However, the ability does not affect falling, and can be used in midair as a quick dash forward.

Blink's speed and distance are unaffected by abilities that push, pull, or slow (such as Endothermic Blaster or Graviton Surge). Also if Tracer blinks into a location of an enemy, that enemy will be pushed aside.

Trivia

• The right mouse button can be used instead of left shift button for Tracer's Blink ability.

Patch changes

November 15, 2016 Patch: Fixed a bug that allowed Tracer to use Blink while rewinding with Recall.  February 18, 2016 (beta) Patch: Fixed several in-game locations in which it was possible to use Tracer's Blink ability to exit intended play space.
